I’ve been at NordicGame Conference 2014 in Sweden the last couple of days, with the guys from my work.

We (2nd Studio) had showcased our current game in-development there at a booth. The game is called “Jazon and the Dead“, and is a Zombie action-adventure game. We showed our prototype, and people really loved it. It warms a programmer’s binary heart when people say “Wow! Nice mechanics you got there!” πŸ˜€

I met a lot of cool people in MalmΓΆ, Sweden this week, and also made a couple of new friends. We are planning to launch a kickstarter campaign very soon, to get money to make the final game. We mixed two genres, Action and Adventure, so even if you are not into adventure games, I would recommend to check out our game πŸ™‚ It really gonna be awesome!!

 

A Zombie gave us a hand (haha), at the conference, and was our business card holder for whole 3 days. So thank you Mr. Zombie.

This weekend I was at a GameJam, where we had to make a game in less than 48 hours!

I was the only programmer in my group, and we made this game called “FireFireMadness” πŸ™‚ It is a game where you have to master your fast key-pressing skills and memory, to defend the city against Godzilla (who can shoot lasers!). So you have to remember a combination of keys, and do them within a time limit.

There haven’t been any updates for a long time. Sadly..
But I’m still here! Alive and still kicking some code-ass πŸ™‚

The recent months I’ve been busy with my job as game developer, w0rking on “Jazon and the Dead” at 2nd Studio. It is turning into a really cool game, with a very unique art-style and humor. I gonna tell you more about that in a later post when we have some cool stuff to show to the public.

 

Of course there is also HackTech Online. My child, my dream, my game. I’ve been working hard on the mission system, fixing bugs, new features and so on. One of the new features are “Hal”, the ingame AI-helper who will be a huge part of the storyline and gameplay in general. He has his own personality, his own abilities and yeah.. a lot more I can’t reveal at the moment.

Right now (tonight) I’m working on the log system for the game. So the players can see what happens at their servers, gateway and so on. I know this has been planned for a while, but a lot of things have come in my way. I haven’t updated this blog in almost a month now! Wow time goes fast…

My life has been rather busy, and I also got a new job since the last update. I am now Lead Game Developer at 2nd Studio, who is a small game company here in the center of Denmark.

The plan is still to have a kind of playable alpha version of HackTech Online around Christmas this year. The mission center is done now, and the next step is to be able to complete the missions. But a lot of the work is done “behind the scenes”. So it will be easier and faster to develop the game as time goes.
